Cardinals Baseball

Our program has a long, storied history, beginning all the way back in the 1980s, with the forming of Wallingford Legion Post 187 Baseball. Over time, the program combined with Meriden Post 45, Cheshire Post 92, and regained its form. In 2012, we failed to field an American Legion team, and we’ve never looked back since.

Our program, as we know it now, formed in 2009 with the merger of the Wallingford Cardinals Post 187 American Legion program and the CT Cobras travel baseball program. Since 2009, we have won numerous Memorial Day tournaments and League Championships. In 2004 our 15u Legion team won a state championship under the coaching of John Amendola Sr. In 2021 our 17u Legion team won a state championship, falling one game short in the Regional championship. Our 19u Legion team advanced to the state championship under Head Coach Chris Bishop, falling short to Avon in the final.

In 2024, will have spring teams at the following levels:
9u, 10u, 11u, 12u and 13u

Our goal is competitive baseball. Win or lose, we want to compete hard, and do it as a team.
